The Chapter’s 16th Annual Houston Audit Challenge Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the prestigious BlackHorse Golf Club.  We only have a few spots remaining for this year’s tournament.

Breakfast and registration begins at 6:30 a.m. and the shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. Play will be followed by lunch, an open bar, door prizes and an awards ceremony.

The course will be led by Dr. Glenn Sumners who was named "Educator of the Year" by The IIA in 1987.

Speaker: Bob Rudloff (Senior VP of Internal Audit at MGM Resorts International)

Objective: Participants will be aware of and understand:

  • How to promote internal audit to the organization and ensure auditors are fully utilized and properly focused
  • How the strategies for alignment with management and organizational objectives must be inherent in auditing plans and processes.
  • The value of strong Risk Management on long-term earning performance as the focus on Governance, ERM, Strategic Reviews and Ethics increases.
  • The Improvement of Risk Coverage and Fraud detection and prevention through the use of data analytics technology.

Experience Level: Basic/Intermediate 

Prerequisites: None  

Recommended credit hours: 1.0 hour
